Atlantic Crossing!
Hello all,
Here on Apsara we are getting ready for our Transatlantic crossing! In
about 50 hours, we will be departing Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, as part of
the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC). Next port of call: St. Lucia.
Things are very busy, but starting to come together quickly now that more
crew have arrived - there will be 8 of us on board for the crossing. We
can't believe how many stores we have packed in the bilge and everywhere -
it has been quite an undertaking to fit it all in!
Once we get going, we will do our best to send a few updates along the way.
But first things first, we wanted to let you know how you can follow us on
the Web.
Position reports for all 225 yachts participating in the ARC 2003 (Las
Palmas, Gran Canaria to St. Lucia), will be posted daily at:
www.worldcruising.com
Here you will be able to track our progress, and see
how we are doing relative to the rest of the fleet. We are in the cruising
division, group A.
Once the sea-sickness fades, we will also be posting regular updates to
www.svapsara.com
More soon.....
Cheers!
Nancy
